Artist Statement
The most rewarding journey is one through which I am blown away by my own creation. This usually means I need to do something I’ve never done before and do it in a way that excites me the most. Nothing drives me more than conquering an ambitious challenge and pouring my heart out in a dynamic world of dramatic realism. Through freedom of expression, I hope that my work brings more appreciation for life – both civilized and wild.
I illustrated ’Good Night My Sweet Island’, a picture book by author Petrea Honychurch Seaman, about saying Good Night to all the things we enjoy doing on the precious Island of Dominica. The book is already available in the UK and will be launched in the Caribbean before the end of 2023. Published by Papillote Press/Polly Pattullo. And, of course, I keep working on my paintings, using acrylics, oil sticks and mixed media.
